CanFund offers a wide range of programs and services for charities and nonprofits:

FDP

Fund Development Plan – Many organizations limp from activity to activity without an overall plan. Our FDP process enables your board, staff and volunteers to develop ownership of a comprehensive strategic plan complete with short and long range goals, fund development initiatives appropriate to the organization, and the action steps to ensure success.

FBP

Foundation Building Plan
– Our FBP will ensure that your organization moves smoothly and quickly through each step of the foundation building process.  From government registration to hiring appropriate staff, developing programs, creating donor management systems and recruiting your foundation board, CanFund will assist you every step of the way in a seamless process that will allow you to begin raising funds even while you develop the foundation structure.

FRS

Foundation Repair Services
– Our unique diagnostic approach provides your foundation (or fundraising department) with a critical audit and recommends changes that will transform your operation and significantly improve performance. FRS includes a review of current initiatives – whether direct mail, special events or major gifts – and recommendations for improvements. Subspecialties include evaluating database management, prospect research, and donor recognition/stewardship programs.

CPS

Campaign Planning Studies – Whether the purpose is a capital campaign, a new planned giving program or an e-mail/web campaign, our CPS service ensures that the planning and design stage is handled in a professional manner building on our 25 years of experience blended with our unique creative approach.

BTD

Board Training and Development – Board members and volunteers want to do the right thing and want to help raise funds, but they don’t know how. Our customizable BTD program will make your senior leadership comfortable playing an active role in fundraising.

FRTK

FundRaising ToolKit – You wouldn’t go on a canoe trip in Algonquin Park without a first aid kit. Likewise, you shouldn’t send your volunteers out asking for money without an FRTK. We know that personal, face-to-face solicitation is one of the most effective fundraising techniques. Yet, we are often asked why it is that volunteers are reluctant to go out and ask for money. Your board members and volunteers need a toolkit. They need practical, hands-on, proven resources that make it easier to make the ask. We’ll work with you to develop the right FundRaising ToolKit for your group.

PSS

Professional Solicitation Services – There are times when volunteer solicitors are the way to go; other times, you need professionals on your side making “The Ask.” It's true that peer-to-peer solicitation is the preferred approach in major gift fundraising and this usually refers to volunteer solicitors. But at CanFund we have experienced, results-oriented project managers who can contact prospective donors on your behalf and "close the sale".  Our mature professionals have been successful business leaders and hence de facto "peers" of the prospective donors.

CEP

Code of Ethics Protocol – Public support of charities remains high, yet questions abound about unethical behaviour. Guarantee your organization is beyond reproach by employing our Code of Ethics Protocol. CEP is our exclusive service that promotes ethical fundraising by guiding charitable organizations in becoming members of the Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Program of Imagine Canada.  We guide you every step of the way from a review of current practices to board approval of changes to marketing your new designation; your organization will be licensed by Imagine Canada to use the Ethical Code trustmark on your marketing materials, branding yourselves as a highly accountable organization.
